Pan African Women Empowerment (PAWES) held PAWES summit in Zanzibar, Tanzania where women in various industries and sectors across Africa attended. Lilly Alfonso was among the attendees representing the fashion industry. One way of appreciating and recognizing her works and contributions to the African fashion, the Tanzanian Minister of women Development presented Lilly Alfonso with the award of women in fashion and beauty.
